I have taken doxycycline since I was 20 years old for my bacterial skin infection. I have had side effects for almost a week. After 1 1/2 months of taking it, I was still getting sunburn. My doctor prescribed me 5mg of doxycycline. The only way I would be able to tolerate it was if I was on it for at least 6 weeks. But when I first started taking it I was a little scared about the side effects. I ended up stopping taking it because my skin was getting better, but the symptoms went away and then I had a recurrence. I am now on 10mg. Is there any way to get doxycycline? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
